With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Marie (Foley) Martin (Van Horne, Iowa), who passed away on January 8, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Foley and Ursula Foley (Gaffey); her husband John Michael Martin; her sons, Michael and James Martin; her siblings, Mary Espinosa (Ernie), Tom Foley and Bob Foley; her brother-in-law Harold Martin; and her parents-in-law, George, Clara Martin, Raphael Martin (Audrey), Rita Snow, Arnie Hanson, Gary Kloubec and Bill Altenhofen.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanmarie Schmidt (Tim) of Van Horne; her grandsons, Mike Schmidt (Brei) of Williamsburg, Greg Schmidt (Becky) of Waterloo and Danny Schmidt (Claire) of Minnetrista, MN; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Logan Schmidt and Emelia Schmidt; her sisters, Margie Ann Foley of Driggs, ID, Emma Jean Martin of Blairstown and Carol Peters (Bill) of Iowa City; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Foley of Fennamore, WI and George Martin (Sandy) of Norway.
