She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Christian and Lena Marie Hessenius Petersen; her former husbands, Dean A. Koeppen and Charles M. Fisher; her brothers, Harold (Lauretta), Lorenz, Ralph and Wilbert Petersen (Velma); and her brother-in-law John Danker.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Hupfeld of Van Horne; her daughters, Cindy Wahe (Kevin) of Marion and Kathy Cates-Morgan of Cedar Rapids; her sister Leona Danker of Marengo; her sisters-in-law, Bernice Petersen of Anamosa, Patty Petersen of Van Horne and Audrey Papesh of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Walker Cates, Miles Wahe (Ashley), Whitney Foreman (Saul) and Cali Wahe; and also, Rhonda Purcell, Dr. Erica Silbernagel and Frances. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
