He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence A. James and Olive "Joy" James (Simpson); his wife Susan James; his great grandchild Claire Jane Comstock; and his siblings, Forey James, Danny James and Patty Husman.
He is survived by: his children, Larry James (Jacque) of Neola, IA, Shane James (Christine) of Ute, IA and Amy Trucke (Garrett) of Soldier, IA; his grandchildren, Jacob James (Dallas), Mandi Shire (Noel), Minnie Khol (Derek), Angelica Cerda-Wilkinson (Shania), Josie James (Jared), Derek James, Wyatt Trucke (Tonya), Austin Trucke (Ellen), Shelby James (Camryn), Sidney Trucke (Lane) and Levi Trucke; his siblings, Charles "Chuck" James (Karen) of Sioux City, IA and Kandi Cantely (Clay) of Denver, CO; and his sister-in-law Mary Lou James of Akron, IA. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton (210 S 5th St, Mapleton, IA 51034). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Van Houten Funeral Home - Mapleton (210 S 5th St, Mapleton, IA 51034).
