He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Seufert and Loretta Seufert (Shanahan); his daughter Patricia Garton; and his brothers, William Seufert and Richard Seufert.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Seufert of Ute, IA; his children, Colleen Henderson (Bob) of Ute, IA, Joe Seufert (Jodi) of Carroll, IA, Jim Seufert (Jessica) of Morrison, CO and Sheila Odom (Lance) of Lincoln, NE; his grandchildren, Kyle Garton, Sara Garton, Harper Odom, Marc Seufert, Chad Seufert, Eric Seufert, Kiersten Worley (Weston), Jessie Wessling (Adam), Zach Monahan (Andrea), Mary Henderson and Annie Henderson; his sister Mary Burke (Martin) of Sioux City, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Adkins of Woodbine, IA, Donna Seufert of Atlantic, IA and Darlene Flanigan of Mapleton, IA. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mary's Catholic Church (201 N 8th St, Mapleton, IA 51034). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (201 N 8th St, Mapleton, IA 51034).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
