He is survived by: his mother Karen Soukup (Grant) of Ute, Iowa; his close friend Jaye Hess of Clovis, California; his children, Ashley Briar (Travis) of Olathe and Tyler Soukup (Meredith) of Norwalk, Iowa; his grandchildren, Ella, Claire Briar, Sophia and Kennedy Soukup; and his siblings, Steve Soukup (Lori) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Patti Vogt (Burdette) of Charter Oak, Iowa.
