He was predeceased by: his former wives, Judith and Doris; his parents, Alva and Dorothy; and his brothers, Benjamin and Elmer.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Mark Kahler, Deborah Christensen (David), Daniel Kahler and Michelle Kahler (Jason Bevers); his grandchildren, Morgan and Charlie Kahler; his stepchildren, Julie Busick (Jon), Richard Billings (Gail) and Cheryl Thevenot (Brian); and his siblings, Gertrude, Arthur, Joseph, Robert, Rose and Linda. He is also survived by 7 step-grandchildren, 19 step-great-grandchildren.
