He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis C. King and Cora E. King (Horton); and his sister-in-law Jeri King. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice King; his children, Brent King (Christine), Brett King (Crystal) and Jaclyn King; his grandchildren, Wyatt King, Ali King, Andrew Peacock, Cassie Johnson, Kaleb King and Tycin Gordon; his great grandchildren, Chloe Summy, Owen Peacock, Luca Peacock and Bode Peacock; and his siblings, Evart King, Dennis King (Shirley) and Dan King (Evelyn). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Iles Westover Chapel (6337 Hickman Rd, Des Moines, IA 50322). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Iowa Veteran Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be given to the Kiwanis Miracle League or to a charity of the donor's choice.
