It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Suzanne Gebel of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Charles City, Iowa, who passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Gebel and Colleen Gebel (Welch); her brother Joseph; her grandparents, Ray, Rita Welch (Ryan), Louis and Marie Gebel (Kolbet); and her uncle Don Gebel.
She is survived by: her aunt Sue; her siblings, Mariam Thresia, Giuseppina Vannini, Dulce Lopes Pontes, Marguerite Bays, Saints, Pope Francis and Pat Gebel (Shira) of Charles City; her nieces and nephews, Brandt, Elliott and Sadie; her sister Beth Hoppel (Scott) of Osage; her nephews, Nick and German; her niece Katie; her sister Uta Herbst; her aunts and uncles, Tom (Marian Gebel), Marcy Gebel of Mason City, Dan (Dorothy Gebel) and Barb (Jerry O'Donnell); and her cousins, Danette Johnson, Denise Etzel, Diane Jones, Tim Gebel, Deb Winters, Terri Allen, Mike Gebel, Andy Gebel, John Gebel, Joe Gebel, LuAnn Scholbrock, Darren O'Donnell, Kelly O'Donnell, Nicole McGlynn and Ryan O'Donnell.
In honor of and in keeping with Suzanne's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the IC Youth Activities Fund (106 Chapel Lane, Charles City, IA 50616) and the IFDA Scholarship Fund (1454 30th Street, Suite 204, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
