She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard Vandermeulen and Phinney Vandermeulen; her husband Mike; her daughters, Jamey Porter and Jodey Bretthauer (Doug); her grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Cassidy, Addy, Ben, Casey and Nicolaas; her sister Joan Westby (Max); and her nephews, Kenny and Terry Westby (Tracey).
