As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rose may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Alborn and Della Wyoma Alborn; her husband Don; and her siblings, Nancy McMenamin and Harold Alborn.
She is survived by: her children, Melody Hunter (Pat) and Jim Keltner of Port Charlotte, Florida; and her siblings, Carolyn Tew and Terry Alborn (Ellen). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (1517 Northwestern Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Ames Municipal Cemetery (310 E 9th St, Ames, IA 50010).
