He is survived by: his uncle Sam; his wife Ruth of Urbandale; his children, Bob (Michelle) of Baton Rouge, LA, Bill (Krista) of Altoona and Beth Ann (Nick Brooks); his grandchildren, Shelby DeMeulenaere (Ricky James), Amanda Giles (Mike), Logan, Emily, Allison, Grant, Kelly DeMeulenaere, Kallie Brooks and Gavin Brooks; his great grandchild Idris James; his stepchildren, Andy Rogers (Bentley) of Seattle, Tony Rogers (Michelle) of Waukee and Mindy Marold (Bob) of Ankeny; his stepgrandchildren, Calvin of Dakota, C. J., Cooper Rogers, Madison Alberts, Carter Alberts, Sam Marold and Max Marold; his siblings, Tana O'Dean (Gerry), Judy Iossi of Davenport and Mark DeMeulenaere (Wendy) of Ukiah, CA; and his brother-in-law Bob Sheehan (Jeanne) of Riverside. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Urbandale - Robert Leo DeMeulenaere, "Bob", age 79, passed away on October 16, 2018 at Arbor Springs from complications of Alzheimer's/Parkinson's.
