In the sacred silence of farewell, Rickie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eloy Romero and Dolores Romero; his wife Lilia; his sons, Jesse (Jessica) and Justin (April); and his siblings, Larry Romero, Ray Romero (Mabel), Lynn Hofen (Brian), Rene'Schwalk (David) and Ronny Romero. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322).
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Richard Deming Cancer Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
