It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Hinz of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Avoca, Iowa, who passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hinz and Bertha Hinz (Wunder); his brother Robert (Barbara); and his daughter Mary Alyse. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his daughter Michon; his son-in-law Steve Hine; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Andrea Cummings; his son Daniel; his grandchildren, Alanna, Michaela Hine, Connor and Aidan Hinz; and his nieces, Debra Minahan (Tom) and Laurie Fell (Bill). He is also survived by children and grandchildren; and his many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM.
