He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas Musel (Katie York) of Springfield, VA and Alex Musel (Justina) of Platte City, MO; his grandchildren, Dylan, Sadie and Madelyn; and his siblings, Ann Shilhanek (Larry) of Strawberry Point, IA, Carol Petersen (Rick), Doug Musel (Rose) of Vinton, IA, Phylis Kurriger (Dennis) of Belle Plaine, IA, Mary Hunzinger (Jeff) of Lee's Summit, MO, Jane Gustafson (Charles) of Colorado Springs, CO and David Musel (Mike Fortunato) of Washington, DC..
Due to the current pandemic, there will be a private family burial Saturday, April 18, 2020, at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelsea, IA, with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation made in his name to the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum, 7105 Northwest 70th Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131.
