She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Agurie Ramirez and Irene Josephine Zermeno; her husband Jerrold Walter Van Horne (Jerry); and her brothers, Richard, Edward and Gene Ramirez.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Lynne Van Horne of Valley Junction and Jerrold Lee Van (Jerry); and her grandson David Lee Van Horne of Des Moines.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (3663 66th St, Urbandale, IA 50322). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Glendale Cemetery (4909 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society or Community Support Advocates.
