She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke King and Agnes King; her son David; her granddaughter Elizabeth; and her brothers, Lloyd and Delmar.
She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Scallon; her children, Mary Jo Steinkamp (Russ) of Carroll, Gregory (Luann) of Waverly, Donald (Deb) of Ackley, Barbara Covert (Christopher) of Clive, Bernard (Han) of Wayne, Teresa Hunter (Steve) of Lake, Paul (Ann) of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Dubberke (Bryan) of Ankeny and Susan Geller of Grimes; and her brother Robert King (Marlene) of Stewartville, Minnesota..
