Marijean Sears Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marijean Sears of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marijean leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Pauline Donahoe (Infelt) and Francis Donahoe; and her brother John Nicholas Donahoe. She is survived by: her sons, Richard Dean Sears and Nicholas Gene Sears; her siblings, Maggie Davis, Charles Colwell and John Colwell; and her great grandchild Isabella Stangl.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (2926 Beaver Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310).
In lieu of flowers memorials in Marijean's honor may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
