He was predeceased by: his siblings, LeBartes, Martha Luitjens (Delbert), Anna and William; his former wife Marsha; his son LeBartes; and his nephew Aaron.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his sister Kay Karlzen; and his son Leonard Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gospel Assembly Church (7135 Meredith Dr, Urbandale, IA 50322). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Gospel Assembly Christian Academy in loving memory of Lonnie.
