He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda; his parents, Samuel Katz and Sarah Katz (Marcus); his stepson Brent Meckley; his siblings, Geraldine Frisch Molomot and Miriam Katz; and his nephew Lewis Stephen Frisch.

He is survived by: his nephew Allan Frisch (Susan); his child Elliot; his nieces, Dena Clontz, Natalie Frisch, Cameron Clontz, Kendal Clontz and Amina Frisch; his cousin Janet Freedman; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Meckley (Gail), Jennifer Hartsook (Mark), Aaron Meckley, Grace Meckley, Allison Hartsook and Meredith Hartsook; and also Judy Meckley.
