He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Susan) and Larry; his wife Della Jesse; his daughter-in-law Natalie; his daughter Susan of Urbandale, IA; his granddaughters, Quinnlyn and Olivia; his brother Ricky (Gloria) of Kanawha, IA.; his daughters, Elise Ritter-Mafuta of Coralville, IA and Beth Ritter-Ruback (Chad Ruback) of Palatine, IL; and his granddaughters, Rachel and Samantha.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
