He was predeceased by: his mother Kathryn Dalton; his son Rodney Dalton; and his granddaughter Morgan Zeller. He is survived by: his wife Alice Gruening; his daughters, Kelli Dalton of Phoenix, AZ, Kimberly Thompson (Todd) of Grimes, IA and Tracey Stelpflug (Tony) of Urbandale, IA; his grandchildren, Alexandra Dalton, Rylee Thompson, Jake Thompson, Dalton Stelpflug, Matthew Thompson, AJ Stelpflug, Gabriella Macera and Johnny Stelpflug; and his great grandchildren, Liam Snyder and Brody Thompson. He is also survived by his many friends and extended family.
