He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus Hove and Jennie Van Hove (Harms); his wife Joann Bunger; and his siblings, Ben, Nettie Mein and Bernadine Neft.
He is survived by: his daughter Carol Strang (Jack); his grandchild Kyle; his sister Clara Smith; his nieces and nephews, Lorene Mein, Catherine Mein, Patrick Smith, David Smith (Karen), James Smith (Diane), Janet Smith, Teresa Watkins (Lonnie) and Jodi Neft; his great-niece McKenzie Marsh (Lane McAdoo); and his great-nephew Coert Watkins (Kenzie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Animal Rescue League, Toys for Tots or the Steamboat Rock Historical Society.
