It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elaine Whitten of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Conway, Arkansas, who passed away on April 21, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Carpenter and Martha Carpenter (Vaden); her parents-in-law, Orlo and Grace Whitten; and her sister Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her spouse Kyle Whitten; her sons, Adam Whitten (Susan) of Hudson, WI and Brad Whitten (Ashley Barott) of Lino Lakes, MN; her grandchildren, Gretchen and Erin Whitten; her sister Carolyn Pitner of Arkdale, WI; and her brother-in-law Robert Whitten of Johnston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
