He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Heer and Mary Heer (Munsch); his wife Theresa Marie Monahan; his son Terry; his parents-in-law, Jim and Joanna Monahan (Brophy); his siblings, Alton, Erndy Heer and Bernice Wilson; and his grandson Stephen Roskam.
He is survived by: his child Terrill (Terry); his grandchildren, Sharleen and Sherrill; his children, Sharleen Newton (Jim), Sherrill Roskam (Mike) and Michael Newton (Maria); his grandchildren, Asa, Kiernen and Arlo; his daughter Meredith DeZorzi (Joe); his grandchildren, Claire and Paige; his daughter Nicole Davis (Scott); his grandchildren, Shane, Kendall and Payton; his son Nathan Roskam (Melissa); his grandchild Addyson; his children, Sarah Hozack (Brandon), Emery, Andrew Roskam (Morgan) and Hallie; and his sister-in-law Joyce McHugh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Jim's name may be given to the Urbandale Food Pantry at 7611 Douglas Ave #34-35, Urbandale, IA 50322, to the family to be designated later, or to a charity of the donor's choice in Jim's name.
