With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Friend of Urbandale, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on January 19, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Friend and Rosemary Friend (McCoy); and his sister Carol Henderson. He is survived by: his wife Diane Friend; his children, Melissa Friend (Fred), William Friend (Jessica) and Kelly Nunn (Zach); his stepchildren, Angie Sindergard (Todd), Jeremy Bro (Lisa), Kris Bro (Marsha) and Andrew Bro; and his grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Morgan, Grant, Addisyn, Lily, Canon, Jake, Ali, Henry, Georgia, Selwyn, Jayna and Aliya. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
