Irene Fern Wilson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Fern Wilson of Urbandale, Iowa, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Kersey and Emma Kersey (Fortner); her husbands, David L Bain and Donald M Wilson; her stepdaughter Cindy Hypes; her grandchildren, Richard Hypes and Amanda Jenkins; and her siblings, Iris Dayton, Marvin Kersey, Mildred Weed, Wilbur Kersey, Howard Kersey, Wilma Brown, Earl Kersey, Maxine Kelderman and Martha Goff.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan Eary (Scott), Sue Murrow (Kelly), Karen Purcell (Ron Edwards) and Laura Pfaff (Tony); and her stepchildren, Steve Wilson (Diann), Donnie Wilson (Lisa), Tami Evans (Bill) and Rob Wilson (Val). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p. m. Sunday, January 10 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 5 to 8 p. m. Face masks are required.
Memorials may be given in Irene's name to the Elks Lodge #2814 in Indianola, Wallace Cemetery Association, Wick, IA or Wesley Life Hospice.
