He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry S. Lavigne and Elizabeth Bestgen Lavigne; his sister Rita Lavigne; his grandson Justin Thomas; and his former wife Nancy Steck.
He is survived by: his wife June Homsey; his children, Tim Lavigne (Pam) of Arizona, Phil Lavigne (Kim) of Arizona, Laurie Garringer (Dan), Annie Waters (Andy) of Des Moines, Kay Slezak (Kevin) of Stillwell and Tom Homsey of Des Moines; and his grandchildren, Philip Ryan, Brooke Elizabeth Lavigne, Heather Fessler (Ben), Jamie Fredregill (Tiffany), Nikki Russell (Bob), Jessica, Jake Slezak, Tyler Lavigne, Summer, Amber and Heather Corby. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph, 8001 Cummings Road, Maple Mount, Kentucky, 42356.
