He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Best (Griffin) and W. Dean Best; and his sister Rebecca. He is survived by: his wife Kim (Breckenridge); his children, Kelli Best-Oliver (Chris Oliver) of St Louis, MO, Jake (Nisse Christopherson) of Des Moines and Andrew (Liz) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Simon, Magnolia Oliver, Fisher and Theo Best; and his siblings, Patty Best of Montezuma, Dan Best of North English and Barb Wright (John) of Waukee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
