He is survived by: his wife LaVonne; his children, Mark Zimmerman of Urbandale and Cindy Gay (Ed) of Marshalltown; his son-in-law Nate Wolfe of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Shem Barger, Vanessa Hageman, Nick, Luke Barger and Aaron Gay; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Kaylee, Isabella, Bond, Bentley and Weston; his great great grandchild Alexandria Jean; his siblings, Donovan "Donny" Zimmerman of Stratford, WI, Marian McKee (Bob) of Croton and Sonny Zimmerman (Bonita) of Sedalia, MO; his daughter Alice; his brothers, Gregory Franklin "Putsy" and Robert (Mary); and his sister-in-law Faye Zimmerman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
