With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Williams (Urbandale, Iowa), born in East Prairie, Missouri, who passed away on January 5, 2021 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Buford and Jessie Willine Jackson Williams; and his brothers, Albert, Larry, Kenneth and Roger Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his sons, Eric Williams of San Antonio, TX and Kye Williams; his stepson Joshua Vollmer (Tiffany); his daughter Kailani Williams; his stepdaughters, Tiana Coots of Norfolk, VA and Tara Coots of Austin, TX.; and his siblings, Lloyd Jan Williams (Carol) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tony Williams Columbia (Suzie), Janie Bernice Rees Murphysboro (Lavern) and Linda Kay Beardsley (Don).

“My deepest condolences to you and your family. I worked next door to Douglas, at Fort Sam in SAT. we were good work friends, I knew him for about three years or maybe longer, time goes by so fast. We went out for walks around the neighborhood during lunch time and we talked about whatever came to mind. He was a real nice guy and a hard worker. Lots of times he would work through lunch and never complain, he always had a smile and whenever someone needed help he was always there. Marino Diaz”
