With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cyle Joseph Claflin of Urbandale, Iowa, who passed away on February 20, 2024 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Claflin and Maurine Claflin. He is survived by: his wife Kate Claflin; his children, Amanda Zander (Tyler) and Nate Kreis (Taylor); his siblings, Craig Claflin (Beverly), Courtney Claflin, Caryn Claflin and Colleen Fettig (Kevin); his brothers-in-law, Kevin Kreis (Ronda) and Eric Woosley (Melissa); and his grandchildren, Carson, Mikayla, Gage and Everett. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He faced and conquered the biggest challenge set before him in his 55 years, spending the last three days of his life fighting in the intensive care unit at Mercy Hospital so that he could continue impacting lives with the selfless act of organ and tissue donation.
