It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmela Margaret Brown (Urbandale, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Romeo and Yolanda Romeo (Gazzo); and her stepfather Sam Dean. She is survived by: her son John R. Brown III (Nancy); her husband Mike Carver; her daughter Kathie Reis (Rod); her stepchildren, Dr. Melinda Hansen (Jonathan), Matt Carver (Lilliana), Tim Carver (Darci) and Liz Nelson (Chris); her siblings, Kathie Lyman, Betty Beal (John), Juliet Bascom (John), Joe Romeo (Nancy Williams), Steven Dean (Nicci) and Scott Dean (Debbie); her grandchildren, Andrew Brown (Sheldon), Jason Brown (Lilli), George Reis and Abby Reis; her stepgrandchildren, Jessi Kelly (Joseph), Maddie Friedrichsen (Cade), Gaby Hansen, Katie Carver, Lily Nelson, Nora Hansen, Max Carver, Jack Nelson, Sam Hansen, Gabe Carver and Rockne Carver; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Elle, Ezra Kelly and Tate Friedrichsen.
