She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Cota and Ginny Cota; and her brother Ken. She is survived by: her husband Dan; her siblings, Peggy Cota, Sandy Sparks (Rick), Cindy Clark (Stan) and Tom Cota (Joanne); her stepdaughter Dawn (Michael); and her children, Sharidan and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
