He is survived by: his former wife Wendy Bickle; his sons, Todd Alan, Nathan Robert and Benjamin Paul; his wife Karen Combs; his grandchildren, Austin, Alexis, Allie and Ashlyn; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Hannah; his grandchildren, Lily, Liam and Lakin; his children, Colleen McGonegle of Atlanta, GA and Wayne Britten of Urbandale, IA; his siblings, Jerry Britten (Leola) of Zearing, IA and Alecia Mintle (Russ) of Waukee, IA; his sister-in-law Kathleen Stuckel Britten; and also Avery. He is also survived by 18 nephews and nieces and a vast extended family.
Alan was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2013.
