He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Newton and Delores Newton (Wendell); his siblings-in-law, Bob McElrath, Jessie Lint, Joyce Lint and Susan Michel; and his nephews, Mark Harrison, Rick Schlimmer, Rob Schlimmer and Larry Michel (Poke).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mae Newton; his daughter Tammy Renee Hendryx (Scott); his granddaughter Carly Mae Hendryx; his sister Sharon McElrath; his sister-in-law Janice Hainey; his nieces and nephews, Deb Vogt (Brian), Kim Pribyl (Steve), Jerry McElrath (Christina), Brian Schlimmer and Jim Tessman (Karen); and his great-nephews, Mitch Harrison (Jenna), Gordy Harrison (Kaila), Matt McElrath (Kristen) and Jarret (Maddie).
A Memorial fund has been established and will be distributed to the causes that Roger was most passionate about.
