She was predeceased by: her father Orville Nitcher; her daughter Elizabeth "Libby" Smith; and her grandson Michael Pittman. She is survived by: her mother Marlys Nitcher (Stille); her husband Scott Smith; her brothers, Travis Nitcher (Denise), Craig Nitcher (Jan) and Glen Nitcher (Tanya); her nieces and nephews, Brandon Nitcher, Luke Nitcher, Benjamin Nitcher, Rebecca Pekkarinen and Sky Nitcher; her great-nephew Walter Pekkarinen; her great-niece Maddie Pekkarinen; her siblings-in-law, Christine Baker, Melinda Smith, Becky Shultz (Jerry), Cathy Marzen (Jerome) and David Smith; and her grandchildren, Bryan Pittman, Christopher Pittman and Kathleen Pittman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and several cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greene - Woodley Funeral Home (519 N 1st St, Greene, IA 50636). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
