He was predeceased by: his parents, James Delbert Hopkins and Gessie Hopkins (Swaim); his granddaughter Stephanie Hopkins; his great grandchild Zaya Villmow; and his siblings, Marie Canterbury and Jack Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Fay Hinton of Unionville, IA; his children, Sharon Hopkins-Brinegar of Moulton, Janice Brandt (Carl) of Des Moines, Paula Chadwick (Ed) of Ottumwa, Teresa Amendt (Scott) of Pleasantville, Roger Hopkins of Unionville, IA and Michele VanAntwerp of Unionville, IA; his grandchildren, Ethan Brinegar (Natalie), Kaleb Brinegar, Kelli Villmow (Anthony), Kyle Amendt, Tina Vosberg (Ryan), Melissa Dennison (Tim), Brandi VanAntwerp, Ashley Drumm and Christina Mallen (Roth); his great grandchildren, Greyson Villmow, Owen Villmow, Connor Villmow, Stacy Hopkins, Keirah Talbert, Xander Talbert, Daniel Dennison, Sophia Dennison, Skye Mallen, Paisley Mallen, Remy Mallen, Ryker Mallen, Landon Roth, Keaton Drumm and Kinsley Drumm; and his great great grandchildren, Adalynn Dorothy and Sylah Dorothy.
