It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lynn Jelsma (Union, Iowa), who passed away on July 3, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Oscar Jelsma and Virginia "Mae" Smith; his daughter Linda Jelsma Holeman; and his siblings, Waldo, Gene, Dallas Jelsma and Arlene Jelsma Boeke.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Paul Jelsma (Jeannie) of Story City, IA, Timothy Jelsma (Janae) of Ankeny, IA, David Jelsma (Karin) of Lowell, MI, Brenda Gogerty (Tim) of Hubbard, IA and Carmen Gogerty (Dennis) of New Providence, IA; his son-in-law Roger Holeman (Pat) of Cedar Falls, IA; and his brother Stanley Jelsma of Lakewood, CO.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
