It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Petersen Jr. of Turin, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Paul; his grandmother Mann; his wife Patricia "Patsy" Petersen; his son Roger Petersen; his granddaughter Kelsey Pflug; his brothers-in-law, Myron Juliff and Brady Hanson; his niece Ann Cox; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Eva Anderson (Hoar).
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Steiner (Bob) of Turin and Sandra Pflug (Matt) of Ames, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nicholas Pflug (Tania), Vanessa Darden (Ed), Brandon Pflug, Eric Steiner (Dana) and Betsy Mefferd; his great grandchildren, Everett Pflug, Edwin, Remi Darden, Dalton Mefferd, Logan Mefferd, Kole, Reece and Jace Steiner; his sister Shirley Juliff of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and his sisters-in-law, Cathy Hanson of Castana and Nancy Hanson (Harvey) of Castana, Iowa.. He is also survived by bird houses for the grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 P. M. Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Masks are required for the visitation and service.) A Private Family Service will be held at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Linda Boggs, officiating.
