He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hays and Jenny Hays (Bertoletti); his son Paul; his siblings-in-law, Janie Hays and Roger Gilbert; and his daughter-in-law Stacey Jean Hays.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Adams; his children, Mark Hays of Chula Vista, CA, Theresa Conner (Andy) of Cumming and Ronda Jo Summers (Jeff) of Aurora, CO; his grandsons, Chad Hays, Jason Hays (Sarai), Devan Hays, Alex Summers, Joseph Summers and John Summers; his great grandchild Damion Hays; and his siblings, Marie Burke (Jim), John Hays (Carrie), Lee Hays, Alan Hays (Mary), David Hays and Gerry Gilbert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
