He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lucy and Sarah Lucy (Ralston); his siblings, Douglas Lucy (Ardy), David Lucy and Bonnie Jean Lucy; his brother-in-law Larry Leonard; and his grandson Billy Lucy.

He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Lee of Treynor; his children, Jason (Lynn Lucy), Dirk (Melinda Lucy), Ryan (Beth Lucy) and Alison (John Toman); his grandchildren, AJ Lucy, Heather, Travis Fineran, Morgan, Grant Teckmeyer, Amber Lucy, Jacob Lucy, Danika, Kael Strawmier, Kaitlynn, Gavin Smith, Isaac Lucy, Sidney Lucy, Mason Lucy, Dane Toman, Hannah Lucy, Logan Toman, Grant Dean and Clair Dean; and his sister Katherine Ann Leonard of Des Moines, WA. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
