He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Lee and Margaret Mae Santage (Merchant). He is survived by: his son Christian Village; his wife JoAnn of Treynor; his daughters, Alisa Marie Beary (John) of Ames and Kelly Jo Santage of Woodward; his grandsons, Brennan Beary and Jameson Beary; and his sisters, Sharon Steele (Roy) of Grapevine, Becky Myers (Steve) of Boone and Ronna Conrad of Pueblo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Treynor Fire and Rescue or St. Paul Lutheran Preschool in Treynor, Iowa.
