He was predeceased by: his father William Young; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Young, Virginia Vorthmann, Maxine Klahn and Terrel Klahn.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Young of Treynor; his children, Sandra Young of Corydon, IA, Janet Beard (Ron) of St. Joseph, MO, Jill Van Meeteren (Brian) of Sheldon, IA and Brent Young (Kerri) of Antalya, Turkey; his brothers, Elton Young of Council Bluffs and Eugene Young (Janice) of Treynor; his grandchildren, Ryan Beard, Danielle Carrillo (Max), David Beard, Brianna Beard, Emma Van Meeteren, Hannah Van Meeteren, Brady Van Meeteren, Kenzie Young, Camden Young, Dawson Young and Cora Young; and his great grandchildren, Liberty, Kamryn and Kingston. He is also survived by nieces; nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Living Hope Community Church or the Treynor Fire and Rescue Department.
