He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hanus and Anna Hanus (Suchy); his sisters, Barbara Engel and Marian Schoonover; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Engel, Harold Schoonover, Ernest Pokorny, Lester Pokorny, Leona Velky and Gladys Pokorny.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Duhachek; his sons, Martin Hanus of Cedar Rapids and Paul Hanus (Kari) of Cadilac, MI; and his grandchildren, Courtney, Allison and Abby.
