He was predeceased by: his son James Wellman; and his brother Curt. He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen Geater (Kay) of Columbia, TN and Suzanne Alberts (Gene) of Onalaska, WI; his grandchildren, Matt Geater (Tiffany), Jody Kyles (Perry), Greg Geater (Jamie) and Nathan Alberts; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Alcorn of Traer and Marlys Dietze (Max) of Georgetown, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, Dysart, Cedar Valley Hospice, or the Traer Lions Club.
