She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Horn and Frances Horn; her former husband Dr. Richard Flanders; and her husband Roger A. Chapman. She is survived by: her sons, Chris Flanders (Susan) of Riverside and Dave Flanders (Jackie) of Hudsonville; and her grandchildren, Kevin and Claire Flanders.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Richard E. Flanders Memorial Scholarship Fund , at Grand Valley State University Anthropology Department in Allendale, Michigan.
