With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Rae Kopriva of Traer, Iowa, born in Dysart, Iowa, who passed away on January 31, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Dethlefs and Grace Dethlefs (Foley); her grandson Kyle Macauley; her great grandchild Leo Salzwedel; and her sisters, Judy Perkins and Louise Dethlefs.

She is survived by: her husband Joe of Traer; her children, Curt Kopriva (Barb) of Traer, Joe Kopriva (Sarah) of Webster City, Todd Kopriva of Traer, Julie Macauley (Terry Steinbach) of Cedar Rapids, Denise Danker (David) of Traer, Dan Kopriva of Traer and Jay Kopriva of Traer; and her siblings, Don Dethlefs (Doreen) of Cedar Falls, Lori Maltas (Jim) of Waverly and Shirley Lyman of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
