It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Hanus of Traer, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mareska and Alba Mareska (Kubik); her husband Ervin Hanus; and her brother Tom Mareska. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Linn Mitchell (William D.) of Cape Fair, MO, Kenneth Frank Hanus (Paula) of Clear Lake, Duane Ervin Hanus (Vicky) of Traer, Steven William Hanus (Barb) of Traer and Ronald Roy Hanus (Keri) of Solon; and her pet Tiny. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
