He is survived by: his significant other Ron Jaspers; his siblings, Anne Dengler (Ron), John Hatton, Kay Bergman (Dan Spore), Debbie Hamilton (Robert), Patty Bohnstengel (Curt), Nancy Dostal (Jeff), Beth Tremaine (Neil) and Jane Bowles (Scott); and his nieces and nephews, Rodney Dengler, Michael Bergman (Aimee Maples), Ashley Chase (Bob), Chris Freland (Jake Poshusta), Tanya Gray (Aaron Poshusta), Heather Grimm (Jon), Samantha Clark (Trey), Jessica Hill (Brandon), Kate Backen (Kasey), Jacque Dostal (Aaron Yuska), Kelli Smith (Levi), Brent Dostal (Amber) and Dustin Lee (Amanda).
The jams he made from fruit grown on the acreage became a signature of his which he sold to generate funds for the American Heart Association.
