It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Mary Babinat of Traer, Iowa, born in Dunkerton, Iowa, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Fettkether and Dorothy Fettkether (Meier); her spouse Siemon J. Babinat; her sons, Gerard and Don Babinat; her granddaughters, Melissa Babinat and Elizabeth McKinney; and her brother Jerry Fettkether.
She is survived by: her children, Geralyn Shilling (Jaimey) of Promise City, William Babinat (Sandy) of Traer, Florence Hanus (Daryl) of Traer, Glenn Babinat of Cedar Rapids and Bernard Babinat (Maria) of Richmond, Texas; and her siblings, John Fettkether (Mary) of Waterloo, Clarice Weber of Manchester, Jim Fettkether (Karen) of Raymond, Lou Fettkether of Denver, Karen Hall (Ron) of Waterloo and Dorothy Sadler (Jim) of Cedar Falls. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
